Alec Wiles was a sculptor and artist who worked from Bethel Studio, Twelveheads, Truro, Cornwall. He worked in bronze, resin-bronze, ciment-fondu and plaster, mainly working direct from life (after preliminary drawings) and exhibited at The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, 1977 (No. 1052 "Miriam" bronze). He was also known for Marine painting and drawings and was a member of the Newquay Society of Artists, which was founded in 1950.
